INDIAN
HEAD MASSAGE
A relaxing therapy based on the ancient Ayurvedic system,
it is a complete relaxation and de-stress treatment
which fits perfectly with today’s hectic lifestyle.
Even those highly tense due to their workload would
find this therapy most beneficial. It can benefit not
only the muscles, but revitalise the skin and hair.
It uses pressure points that release stale energy and
tension; this balances the energy throughout the body
leaving you feeling calm and revitalised, refreshed,
and de-stressed.

SPORTS
MASSAGE
Sports massage can be used to aid recovery from injury
or an event or as part of a long-term training programme.
It is not just for elite athletes but the average club
player as well.
Sports
massage is a form of massage, which focuses on muscle
systems used, in athletic activities. It can combine
Swedish style massage with trigger point’s compression
and electro- neuromuscular techniques to reduce soreness
and help enhance power, endurance and flexibility.
Through the 1950s and 1960s the Russians and East Germans
developed sports massage techniques which have now become
mainstream.
You also need to understand where you are using a sports
massage therapist. Is it a part of regular ongoing training,
part of recovering from an event or to help rehabilitate
an injury. Due to the nature of the deep muscle tissue
manipulation it can be uncomfortable at first, but your
body will respond as muscle stiffness reduces and flexibility
increases. Psychological benefits can be huge, such
as an increase in self – esteem and self- perception
as an athlete.

STONE
MASSAGE
Stone massage is a therapy that uses hot and cold stones.
The therapist uses his hands to transfer the hot or
cold from the stone to the client’s body. When
the client is used to the temperature, the therapist
use the stone to massage with. If the muscle needs more
relaxing the therapist would leave a hot stone on the
area for a deeper effect. The application of warmed
and cooled river rocks, combined with manual massage,
provides a deeply relaxing, therapeutic experience.
As a contemporary therapy, Stone massage was introduced
to the world of Spa treatments by Mary Nelson in 1993.
The therapeutic use of stones and rocks has, however,
been employed for thousands of years in various forms.
Stone therapy respects nature and uses its strengths
to make the treatment the most wonderful and healing
therapy that there is.

TUI
NA
Tui Na works holistically to balance Qi-flow throughout
the body, mind, and spirit. The practitioner will ask
questions about personal health, eating patterns and
lifestyle; along with observations like the way they
hold their body the look of their eyes and tongue and
their energy levels.
This is all taken in to find out where their Qi is blocked
and what meridians need to be worked upon.
Tui Na was introduced into Japan, where it was modified
to become what is now known as shiatsu.
It is one of the oldest forms of massage.
This massage is done over the clothes and without oils.
Using techniques like pressing, squeezing, rolling,
and vibration are just some that are used to get the
Qi flow back in to balance.
